Tryba Architects specializes in seamlessly integrated design—including architecture, interior design, branding and experiential graphics, urban design and planning, adaptive reuse and repositioning, landscape architecture and model making. We are passionate about context, connection and change. For over 35 years we have developed a multi-faceted studio that approaches design holistically to craft vibrant, sustainable places for people—structures, systems and environments with qualities that exceed the sum of individual elements, inside and out.

Professional Development

We offer the support and flexibility for employees to design a career that fits their experience, interests and goals. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of their role within the firm, design specialties, and professional growth. Our work is highly collaborative, with everyone sharing ideas and inspiration. We offer a variety of learning opportunities for staff at all levels, including Lunch & Learn sessions, Revit training, monthly firm-wide Design Conversations, leadership training and continuing education programs.

Giving Back

Our team supports organizations and charities that truly make a difference in the communities where we live and work. Our annual holiday gathering includes a silent auction with all proceeds going directly to a local non-profit selected by staff. We also arrange periodic volunteer events in Colorado and Texas, which encourage team building and camaraderie in support of important causes. Members of our team serve on boards and committees for various civic and community organizations and academic programs.

Path to Licensure

Tryba Architects supports our design professionals through every step on the path to licensure. Our AXP and interior design mentorship programs provides resources, encouragement, and guidance from staff who have been through the process. Professional registration costs are covered by the company, and employees are compensated for time off on exam days. We encourage staff at all levels to become involved in the community, expand their network and find unique opportunities for career growth.

As signatories of the AIA 2030 Commitment, we empower staff to advance resilient and sustainable practices across our projects and within our own office. Our practice is rooted in the belief that enduring design is inherently sustainable, as it builds on the past to meet the demands of the present while being mindful of our responsibility to the future. Tryba's legacy of adaptive reuse and preservation is a fundamental pillar of our sustainability strategy and recognizes the environmental, cultural and economic value inherent in our existing built fabric.

Life and Work

The wellbeing of our employees—and their families—is very important to us. Our flexible workplace environment includes options for remote work and adjustable schedules. Typically, we work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday, allowing us to close the office at noon on Fridays. We are highly supportive of employees with childcare responsibilities, offering paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements. We also know it's important for our team to have fun and to get to know one another better, so we offer a variety of social events, happy hours, outings and community activities.

Our Summer Internship application opens early February for paid summer internships in all of our offices depending on project and staffing needs. In years past, we have had architecture, interior design, graphic design, landscape design, urban design, and business students.
