We are seeking highly motivated Interior Designers with experience in commercial interiors, multi-family residential, hospitality, and mixed-use design. Ideal candidates will possess an inquisitive mind as well as strong working knowledge of REVIT, Enscape and Adobe Suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven ability to consistently and effectively manage scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, manage, direct and balance multiple projects
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining strong, productive client relationships
  • Able to deal effectively with conflict – clients, staff, consultants, and contractors
  • Knowledge and or ability to utilize Revit Design documentation and 3D modeling for all phases of design from client presentations to construction documents, through construction administration
  • Collaborate on project design, construction documents/details and construction administration
  • Provide Consultant coordination (onboarding, contracts, design coordination)
  • Project design oversight/implementation on a variety of scales
  • Oversee and translate design concepts into construction documents
  • Business Development; responsible for new and repeat client work, networking
  • Responsible for retaining current talent, and mentoring as appropriate (with other firm leaders)
  • Conduct client meetings to understand their preferences, requirements, and expectations.
  • Present design proposals and concepts to clients and incorporate feedback into the final design.
  • Conceptualization: Generate creative and innovative design concepts based on client needs, project requirements, industry trends, all based around Tryba’s Design Principles.
  • Space Planning: Develop efficient and functional space plans to optimize the use of interior spaces.
  • Help in the selection, specification, and procurement of FF&E
  • Design and coordination on the construction of custom furniture, millwork, and lighting
  • Participate in the maintenance, growth, and research of the office material resource library
  • Mentor and coach of junior staff
  • Able to support and embrace the entrepreneurial, experimental design style, and high performing organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior Architecture from a CIDA accredited University
  • NCIDQ or RID
  • 10+ years’ experience in all phases of interior design, including planning and interior design of complex projects
  • Experience managing a design team and clients
  • Highly proficient in REVIT/BIM Production, Excel, Enscape, and Adobe Suite
  • Ability to prepare / review construction documents and create design concepts/documentation with advanced knowledge of detailing for interior construction
  • A knowledge of architectural practice and construction technology, including but not limited to design, documentation, detailing, building materials, and building codes
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with partners of the firm during all phases of design and drawing production
  • Familiarity with sustainable design concepts
  • An understanding of a wide knowledge base of finishes, fixtures, furnishings, art & décor
