We are seeking highly motivated Urban Designers/Planners with experience large scale master planning and city planning efforts. Ideal candidates will possess an inquisitive mind as well as strong working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Hand sketching, and Adobe Suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Previous experience working on urban development projects, including design and collateral for project vision and values; site planning and programming; urban design guidelines; interface with city agencies and general understanding of planning/entitlement processes.
• Efficiency in utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and hand sketching
• Leading and guiding project teams
• Leading client meetings to understand their preferences, requirements, and expectations.
• Experience creating and maintaining strong, productive team relationships.
• Strong design creativity and technical proficiency.
• Effectively demonstrate technical detailing and problem-solving skills on complex project types
• Proven ability to successfully balance multiple projects
• Mentor junior staff
• Able to support and embrace the entrepreneurial, experimental design style, and high performing organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate or professional degree from an accredited school of Architecture or Urban Design.
• Architectural license preferred
• 8+ years of related experience, including demonstrated success as an urban planner / designer or landscape architect
• Knowledge of architectural principles/practices
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
• Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy
• Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills that include leadership, organization and client relationship management skills
• Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution
• Knowledge of architectural practice and construction technology, including but not limited to design, documentation, detailing, building materials, and building codes
• Familiarity with sustainable design concepts
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to learning and investment in own professional development
• A positive attitude and strong desire to work within a team
• Highly motivated self-starter
