GoSpotCheck Headquarters at 1500 Market Street Receives Distinguished Design Award

GoSpotCheck Headquarters at 1500 Market Street has won a 2019 American Architecture Award. Now celebrating its 25th year, The American Architectural Awards are the nation’s highest and most prestigious building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design in the United States.

GoSpotCheck Headquarters is the three-story plus top-floor mezzanine addition to the historic Rocky Mountain Seed Building at 1520 Market in Denver. The interior of exposed structural wood glulams and wood decking pays homage to the exposed structure of the adjacent historic Seed Building. The exterior is composed of a custom steel curtain wall system with aluminum-clad wood windows.

The building completes the street wall on the south-east corner of 15th and Market in Denver. Floors 2 and 3 include 5,000 SF of office with interior connections to the Seed Building. The top-floor mezzanine features an L-shaped deck with views through LoDo to the Rocky Mountains beyond. Tryba Architects designed the buildings to preserve the historic character of the district through intensely crafted scale and proportion.

This awards program is a centerpiece of The Chicago Athenaeum and the European Centre’s efforts to identify and promote best practices in all types of architectural development and to bring a global focus to light of the best new designs from the U.S. It is the only national and global program of its kind. On Thursday, October 10, The Chicago Athenaeum will host an Awards Gala Dinner in Miami, Florida.
