For more than 120 years, Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church has been a prominent landmark and community anchor in Denver’s historic Park Hill neighborhood. Renovations have addressed the needs of a twenty-first century congregation, while remaining true to its history.
The annual award recognizes outstanding Denver preservation projects that have positively impacted their communities and demonstrated innovation and creativity to set a high standard for preservation in Denver. Montview's newly revitalized lobby and insertion of a glazed façade enhance the entry, while refurbishment of the historic sanctuaries and stained glass creates a ‘cathedral of light’ connecting people to the history and cultural narrative of place.
