Tryba Architects honored with two AIA Awards

Tryba Architects is pleased to announce the acceptance of two awards at the 2016 AIA Practice and Design Conference Awards Gala. The Gala was held Thursday, October 6 at the Copper Mountain Resort.

Tryba is honored to be recognized for transforming urban sites, buildings and interiors into fully integrated, vibrant and timeless places.

The 2016 AIA Colorado Design Awards Jury Chairs included Katie Faulkner, AIA, LEEDAP of NADAAA Architecture, Louis Fung, AIA of Fung Associates, Inc., Sharon Johnston, FAIA of Johnston Marklee & Associates, and Robert Miller, FAIA, RAIC, LEED, AP of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.

AIA Colorado Award of Merit for Planning and Urban Design: DEN 50-Year Vision

Tryba was presented with AIA Colorado Award of Merit for Planning and Urban Design, for Denver International Airport (DEN), 50-year vison. The 50-Year Vision and Framework Plan focuses on growth, economic development and establishing the airport as a premier multimodal hub – a center for international travel and commerce, innovation and culture.

AIA Denver Honorable Mention for Interior Architecture:Denver Union Station

Tryba was also presented with AIA Denver Honorable Mention for Interior Architecture for Denver Union Station. With the addition of a boutique luxury hotel, unique dining and shopping experiences, and facilities serving an expanded mass transportation network, the terminal provides Downtown with endless possibilities to connect to places and one another. In combination with the adjacent public plaza, Union Station and its celebrated Great Hall has quickly become downtown Denver’s new living room.
