Clayworks offers an entirely new concept for Downtown Golden—simultaneously responding to and integrating with the historic Golden context while reflecting the civic legacy and values of the Coors family and their companies. CoorsTek’s global headquarters, currently located a few miles away, will return to the site, anchoring a new mixed-use office building that features an iconic 65-foot tower reminiscent of the company’s former “Silo” industrial building.
The new Clayworks Building B3 will integrate the adaptive reuse of portions of historic buildings dating back to the early 1900s, creating an authentic connection to the heritage of innovation and industry on the site.
Complementing existing institutions such as the Colorado School of Mines and NREL, this new extension of the historic downtown will provide a hub for materials science and innovation, sustainability and technological advancement.
