Tryba Architects partnered with Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects on the re-entitlement, conceptual planning and community engagement phases of the former Boulder Daily Camera newspaper site, spanning the block between Pearl and Walnut Streets from 10th to 11th. Working with Boulder’s Mayor, City Council, Planning Board and Landmark Commission, the Team explored multiple programs. The final concept recognizes the proximity between downtown Boulder and the nearby Front Range. The balance—Wilderness City—connects the natural landscape with the thoroughly urbanized.
